On 25 November 2013 a delegation from the People's Republic of China met with the representatives of the Institute. Institute was visited by the members of the Counsellors? Office of the State Council of the People?s Republic of China dealing with the issues related to agriculture and rural areas , accompanied by representatives of the Chinese Embassy in Warsaw . The delegation was headed by the Counselor of the State Council Liu Jian , former Minister of Agriculture of China.

On 19.06.2013 r. the Institute of Agricultural and Food Economics - National Research Institute held seminar entitled "Structural changes in Hungarian agriculture since EU accession".

On 10-12 June 2013, in Suchedniów international conference was held "The new solutions of the CAP 2013+ to the challenges of the EU member states agriculture".

On 10-12 December 2012, in Ciechocinek international conference was held " Economic, social and institutional factors in the growth of agri-food sector in Europe". The Conference was organized by the Institute of Agricultural and Food Economics - National Research Institute.

In days 18-20 June 2012 in Kazimierz Dolny over Vistula took place the international Conference "Proposals for CAP 2013+ and competitivenes of food sector and rural areas" organized by the Institute of Agricultural and Food Economics - National Research Institute. The conference is an integral part of realized by IAFE-NRI Multi-Annual Programme: "Competitiveness of the Polish food economy in the conditions of globalization and European integration".

On March 27th, 2012 in Sofia (Bulgaria) took place an international conference "Bulgaria and the EU?s 2014-2020 Multiannual Financial Framework", organized by the Economic Policy Institute (EPI) in cooperation with the "Hans Seidel" Foundation.

At the begining of January Professor Masahiko Gemma from Waseda University was in Institute of Agricultural and Food Economy - NRI. Research project "Urban-rural connections: local policy and livehood strategies" of Paweł Chmielinski and Michal Dudek (IAFE-NRI) has been awarded in CERGE-EI Twelfth Annual Global Development Network Regional Research Competition and will be implemented in 2012.
