International Scientific Conference: The Impact of Ukraine's Potential Accession to the EU on the Polish Agri-Food Sector, 29 October 2024

Director of the Institute of Agricultural and Food Economics, National Research Institute (IERiGŻ PIB) – dr. hab. Marek Wigier, prof. IERiGŻ PIB, has a pleasure to invite you to the International Scientific Conference entitled “The Impact of Ukraine’s Potential Accession to the EU on the Polish Agri-Food Sector” which will be held on 29 October 2024 in the Institute of Agricultural and Food Economics NRI at 30 Świętokrzyska Str. in Warsaw.

The aim of the conference is to assess the potential consequences of Ukraine's accession to the European Union, in particular the impact on the Polish agri-food sector. The event focuses on key challenges related to the integration of Ukraine’s agriculture into the EU market, such as competitiveness, supply and demand situation, food self-sufficiency, and Polish and EU agricultural policies. The results of the research, which will be presented at the conference, can serve as recommendations for decision-makers on adaptation measures and setting future directions for the agricultural sector, considering the Common Agricultural Policy after 2027.
