Delegation from Guangzhou, China

On June 6, 2018, the Institute of Agricultural Economics and Food Economy - National Research Institute hosted a delegation from Guangzhou. The Chinese delegation included:

• Liang Zhuoyue – Guangzhou Agricultural Bureau, Director of Office;

• Zhang Haiming – Guangzhou Agricultural Bureau, Deputy Director of Communication and Cooperation Division,

• Zhang Hua – Guangzhou Academy of Agricultural Science, Director;

• Liu Hansheng – Gueangzhou Agricultural Technology Promotion Center, Director.

The following IAFE-NRI employees took part in the meeting: Barbara Wieliczko, Marek Wigier, Monika Bocian, Paweł Chmieliński and Małgorzata Bułkowska.

During the visit to the IAFE-NRI, the delegation from China had the opportunity to familiarize with the subject of research conducted by the Institute. The following presentations were presented:

Marek Wigier - presented the activity of the Institute of Agricultural Economics and Food Economy-PIB;

Monika Bocian - FADN activities;

Dr Paweł Chmieliński - ERDN activities;Małgorzata Bułkowska - Agri-food trade between Poland and China.

The Chinese side presented a presentation about Guangzhou and Guangdong province showing the development of these areas, with particular reference to the development of local agriculture.

The purpose of the meeting was to present the profile of activities by both sides and discuss the possibilities of cooperation with particular emphasis on programmes for the development of scientific cooperation between Poland and China implemented by the National Science Centre Poland and the National Natural Sciences Foundation of China.
