Visit of a delegation from South Korea

On December 13, 2018, the Institute of Agricultural Economics and Food Economy - National Research Institute hosted a delegation from the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs of South Korea and Korea Agri-Fisheries & Food Trade Corporation. The purpose of the meeting was to present the Korean delegation the issues related to the functioning and development of Polish agriculture and agri-food industry.

The Korean delegation included following members:
1. Han Taesung - deputy director, Horticulture Business Division, Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs.
2. Sooyoung Jo - in charge officer, Food Industry Policy Division, Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs.
3. Yong-Hee Seo - assistant manager, Supply & Demand Division, Supply & Demand Management Office, Market Information Department, Korea Agro-Fisheries & Food Trade Corporation.
4. Min-Jae Park, staff member, Supply & Demand Division, Supply & Demand Management Office, Market Information Department, Korea Agro-Fisheries & Food Trade Corporation.
The following IAFE-NRI researchers employees participated in the meeting: Barbara Wieliczko, Zbigniew Floriańczyk, Paweł Chmieliński, Mirosława Tereszczuk, Wiesław Łopaciuk and Marcin Żekało.

During the visit to the IAFE-NRI, the delegation from South Korea had the opportunity to get familiar with the research conducted by the Institute. The following presentations were presented:

Barbara Wieliczko - presented the activity of the Institute of Agricultural Economics and Food Economy - National Research Institute;

Paweł Chmieliński - discussed the international cooperation of IAFE-NRI and the activity of ERDN and presented a presentation on small farms in Poland;

Zbigniew Floriańczyk - presented the goals and principles of FADN functioning;

Marcin Żekało - discussed the functioning of the data system on the cost of agricultural production in Agrokoszty;

Mirosława Tereszczuk - presented the results of Polish foreign trade in agri-food products since Poland's accession to the EU;

Wiesław Łopaciuk - discussed the functioning of the IAFE-NRI data collection system on the functioning of agricultural markets in Poland
